The Sun of May in September

Buenos Aires reminded me of home: Iran. The way people dressed, the style in which streets were built, the look of stores, and the fact that everybody loved to eat and stay up late were all similar to what I call my Iranian culture. And more importantly football! They don’t just enjoy it. They live with it.

In September 2019, I traveled to Argentina. I flew from New York City to Buenos Aires and stayed there for about four days so that my friend could join me for the rest of the trip. It was a time of the year when trees bloomed again and the weather became more pleasant. I was in a hostel in the central part of the capital. Everyone advised me not to go out alone and to come back before the dark, but I was curious to walk the streets, to see more, and to delve into the heart of the second-largest city in South America.
